Owned by Bradley Shuman and located in Nashville, Tennessee, Soothing Falls was founded in 1999.

Soothing Falls specializes in the design and construction of luxury swimming pools and water features.  Pools range from $60,000 - $200,000+ and water features range from $5,000 - $100,000+.

The company has built hundreds of water features over the last decade.  Projects include walls of water, sheer descents, commercial fountains, lakes, ponds, water gardens, streams, indoor water features, and of course, the Soothing Falls specialty, luxury swimming pools.

Soothing Falls, LLC is a general contractor in the state of Tennessee (license # 00054451).  The company is licensed to perform commercial, industrial and residential projects.  About 70% of projects are residential and the remainder are commercial.

Getting a Design & Quote

Contact Brad Shuman, owner & designer for a custom design & quote.  The turn-around time for a design and quote varies from several days for small projects to several weeks for large projects. 

2D designs (overhead black and white concept drawings) are generally free of charge and are accompanied by a quote or work order.

Brad utilizes a 3D design program called Pool Studio for his larger projects (3D design is optional but highly recommended for most clients).  With Pool Studio, Brad creates a 3D world of your proposed pool or water feature (your house or other buildings can be included as well).  In this 3D world, you can view the pool from within your virtual house, from above, or from any angle; you can even swim under virtual water.  This program is especially helpful for clients who aren’t exactly sure what they want, or for those who have trouble visualizing a proposed project.  Photos can be taken from any angle, at any phase of the design within Pool Studio.  Whether you want to see a design in progress via email or refer to hard copies of the photos before and during construction, the Soothing Falls design process couldn’t be more customer friendly.

Pool Studio allows you to select tile, coping, pool interiors, decking, landscaping and much more to get a very good idea of what the finished product will actually look like.

Once a design is created, major changes are easy to make.  Brad says “the real power of Pool Studio is in showing our clients what they’re going to get before breaking ground; it’s an incredible way to ensure that they will love the final product.”

A fee of $100 / hour will apply for 3D designs, which usually cost between $700 - $2,000.  (Design fees are credited back to all clients who proceed with installation.)  Designs come complete with color pictures and overhead schematics in printed and in digital form.  A quote or work order will accompany every design; it will detail the scope of work, materials, special conditions and customer responsibilities.
